Vidaurreta's Painting has been refinishing and restoring historic homes and buildings since 1989.  Click here to read about our work featured in local newspapers.

We use the infrared stripping system instead of caustic stripping chemicals which contaminate the substrate. The infrared system is the most eco-friendly stripping system on the market.

The Moody-Bradley Foundation hired Vidaurreta's Painting to strip, restore and paint the Moody Bradley house in Fairfield, Texas. Click here to jump to a letter regarding this work at the bottom of this page.

We used infrared paint strippers and scrapers to remove the 150-year-old paint from the exterior.

Once the surface is sufficiently prepared, we begin priming the bare wood.

Moody-Bradley House painting project:
We have such a wonderful paint contractor painting the interior and exterior of the Moody-Bradley House that I just had to share his name.  The company is Vidaurreta’s Painting and Seamless Gutters  and owner John Vidaurreta’s address is 2726 W. Elm Mott Drive; Waco, TX 76705
Phone No:  254.799.2521 and the  E-Mail address is:
Take a look at their web site and see our project:
Our project was funded by the Moody Foundation who required very detailed data regarding our project and the contractors we chose to use.  John Vidaurreta and his team have been incredibly accommodating and honest.  They have done an exceptional job of removing the paint on the house (built in 1860) using an infrared heat process.  They were attentive to even the smallest details. They are finishing the exterior of the house this week and will immediately move to the interior.
In the three months they have been on site, they seem to have grown attached to the house and to the ladies of the Fairfield History Club.  They know us by name, they know the yardman’s schedule and all of our neighbors.  If something seems out of the ordinary or someone is at the house that they do not recognize, they let us know.  They are incredibly polite, knowledgeable, and caring.  They have gone to a lot of trouble to correct mistakes made by other contractors without being critical of others and have taken the time to explain to us what we can do to prevent structural damage.  They showed us why our handicapped accessibility ramp was not up to code and rebuilt it to comply—and made it attractive!
They WORK.  They worked around our club meetings and prescheduled events. They worked outside when the weather was below freezing and they worked on the porches when it was raining.  I might add that they have an hour and a half commute both ways from Waco.
They are HONEST.  On the morning after our annual Valentine Dinner benefiting Relay For Life, Samuel did not hesitate to meet us at the door and let us know they had found a diamond ring in the great hall.  We certainly would never have known about the lost ring if they had not come forth.  The guest who lost the ring was exceptionally pleased!
Please take the time to look at their website and see our project as it progresses.  We could not be more pleased.  Vidaurreta Paint and Seamless Gutters are exceptional contractors.  I would not hesitate to recommend them for any restoration project.  We have hired our fair share of contractors in the 40 years we have been restoring and maintaining this Recorded Texas Historic Landmark.  We have made more than our fair share of mistakes.  FINALLY, WE HAVE A WINNER!
I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone, but especially to those who are working on restoration projects.  I just thought you might like to know!
